Has over 30 years experience in Aviation, initially as a navigator in the Royal Air Force in the world-wide transport role and for the last fifteen years in the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) worked in the Aerodrome Standards Department and was mainly responsible for giving professional advise to local planning and Aerodrome Authorities to ensure that development projects both on and close to Aerodromes did not pose a flight safety hazard.

This responsibility including the safeguarding of en-route Navigation Aids and Radio Masts was also the CAA's Bird Control Officer involved in the planning of Bird Courses, training staff and advising Aerodromes on bird control problems An Aerodrome consultant in the CAA's International Services including evaluations for the International Airport in Mauritius,
Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man Airports, Spata Airport in Greece and advising on the runway extension at Funchal Airport in Maderia and a member of the operational audit team of all the other International Airports in Portugal, Independent consultancy has been carried out for Anguilla, Bermuda, Cayman Islands British Virgin Islands The Turks, Caicos Islands and the Falkland Islands
